Pinterest launches Beauty School

Pinterest is set to open the doors to a unique Beauty School for the very first time.

Taking place on October 1st at The Vinyl Factory in London’s Soho, in partnership with household beauty names including La Roche Posay, the first-of-its-kind school will feature brand activations and creator workshops directly informed by Pinterest’s unique insight-led trends.

Pinterest has long been a destination for beauty inspiration and, in turn, a source of insights that reveal the preferences and desires of beauty lovers all over the world.

By teaming up with La Roche Posay and others, the Beauty School will demonstrate how brands and advertisers can activate a strategy informed by customer-led data, helping them to better engage with their audiences and deliver exactly what consumers are searching for.

Workshops and panels on offer will span across hair, beauty and skincare, all based on the beauty trends that are set to dominate this Winter 2022 season and with the theme of inclusivity running throughout. These will include:

  • Makeup from day to night: a creator workshop led by award-winning professional make-up artist Joy Adenuga, who will show guests how to perfect their flawless makeup techniques to last them from day to night
  • Beyond the Toxins: a panel discussion on how beauty is levelling up for a more sustainable future, exploring the changing trends in sustainable beauty, how beauty enthusiasts can support innovation and the impact of more sustainable beauty
  • Nail art tricks for beginners: a creator workshop led by Aamirah Essof of A Brown Girl Recommends, who will show guests how to achieve the latest nail art trends
  • Hair braiding techniques: a creator workshop led by Nia the Light, owner of The Curl Bar London, sharing with guests how they can perfect a variety of braiding.

Tickets to attend the free event are available here.

For those unable to visit on the day, beauty enthusiasts can head to Pinterest to explore the upcoming trends and view creator how-to hacks to get inspired from home.

Belinda Boakye, Head of Creator Marketing at Pinterest UK, says: "Millions of beauty lovers in the UK come to Pinterest each month to get inspired, discover new trends and shop, and because we know what people are searching for, we can predict what the next big beauty trends will be. It's a total cheat-sheet for beauty brands and creators who can literally inspire people with the very things they're already looking for. We're so excited to launch our first Beauty School in the UK, working with brands and creators to bring the online magic of what you can find on Pinterest, to a real physical space for the first time."
