Cult beauty brand Hada Labo Tokyo has launched two new sun care products that combine the latest skin science and innovations from the East with European sunscreen standards and regulations
The Japanese brand’s water-resistant, moisturising sunscreens are formulated to protect against sunburn and the signs of ageing.
Three different UV filters provide proven protection against both UVB and UVB, via both physical and chemical modes of action.
Meanwhile, a trio of hyaluronic acid provides hydration and anti-ageing benefits: sodium hyaluronate, which helps replenish moisture lost from the outermost layer of skin; super hyaluronic acid, developed to increase affinity with the skin and lock in moisture to provide prolonged hydration; and nano hyaluronic acid, which maximises moisture retention deep with the epidermis to help combat wrinkles and other signs of ageing.
Additional skincare ingredients include squalene to help repair the skin barrier and boost collagen, and panthenol to enhance skin’s look and feel.
After a dermatologist-controlled clinical trial, analysis of wrinkles using a Primos 3D Lite device showed 100% of participants had fewer wrinkles overall, with an average reduction in wrinkle count of 14%.
Hada Labo Tokyo’s new sun care collection includes Light Hydrator Sun Face Cream (RRP £16.95) and Super Moisturizer Sun Lotion (RRP £18.95).
