Love Ocean expands distribution

Love Ocean, a sustainable, ocean-friendly, refillable children’s bath range, has expanded its retail distribution with 3 new openings.

The brand’s whale tail Kids Hair & Body Wash and Kids Bubble Bath has now launched on boots.com and into the childrenswear departments at Selfridges Trafford Centre and Birmingham, joining its existing flagship Oxford Street store.

After launching on its direct to consumer website, loveocean.com, the brand secured retail listing with Ocado in October 2021. This was followed by a stand-alone Love Ocean bespoke fixture in the kid’s department at Selfridges Oxford Street, and its launch on the online eco-supermarket, The Bower Collective.

Love Ocean Kids Bubble Bath is 99% natural and Love Ocean Kids Hair & Body Wash is 98% natural. The dermatologist approved, UK-made products are suitable for children aged 6 months and over, with formulations that are vegan-friendly, eco-friendly, ocean-friendly, and reef-friendly and formulated without SLS, petrochemicals, parabens or colourants.

The products are housed in Love Ocean’s award-winning signature whale tail bottle, designed in collaboration with Pearl Fisher. Produced from 100& recycled HDPE plastic, it is fully recyclable and designed to be refilled and reused via Love Ocean’s refillable pouches.

Gabi Jennings, Brand Founder and CEO, says: “We are delighted that Love Ocean is now available regionally at Selfridges Birmingham and Trafford stores following the success of the brand in the Oxford Street store. The addition of our award-winning bottles and refill pouches to Boots.com is a wonderful strengthening of our online retail portfolio. We are excited to be in the process of an additional fundraise to be able to grow the business further. With only 2.3% of global funding going to female-led start-ups (as Love Ocean is), crowdfunding really is the best route for us. We proved it last year with a hugely successful campaign that helped get us to where we are today.”

Love Ocean is currently raising an additional £250k of funding through a crowdfunding campaign to drive sales growth and allow for further retail expansion.
