The Perfume Shop launches Store+ app

The Perfume Shop, the UK’s largest perfume retailer, has announced the launch of the first phase of its market-leading Store+ app initiative.

The app aims to enhance the customer shopping experience and help to better inform perfume purchasing. Store+ helps to further bring together the offline and online experiences as customers will be able to access the Store+ app through QR codes displayed in-store.

The first phase of the app features several functions including a Smart Product Scan. This technology will allow customers easy access to all product information availabel on the The Perfume Shop's range of fragrances. This includes sizes, pricing, reviews, product descriptions, key notes, fragrance family and more.

The Scent Profile feature will also allow users to save their Fragrance Finder results and access them at any time, as well as receive recommendations with new product launches.

VIP customers will also be able to easily access and view the benefits of The Perfume Shop’s loyalty programme.

Laura Wilkinson, Online Business Director at The Perfume Shop, says: “We believe that all of our customers should be able to have an easy and enjoyable experience when they are shopping with us offline and online.”

“All key information and functions you need are there when visiting our stores and are easily accessible from the intuitive Store Mode home-screen. With all new features you have time to think about your purchase which means you can easily favourite products you’ve tried in-store, so they’re saved to your online account for future purchase,” Wilkinson comments.

The announcement follows research from the retailer that suggests that 72% of customers often require further additional information and services when in-store, with 58% regularly searching for social content, tips and reviews when it comes to choosing a perfume.

The technology is now live in 24 stores, with further roll-out planned to take place throughout 2025.
