The Fragrance Shop celebrates record growth

The Fragrance Shop celebrated record-breaking achievements across instore and online channels in 2024, as well as the opening of six new stores and three refurbishments.  

For the five weeks ending 28th December 2024, the retailer recorded an impressive +4.6% sales growth year-on-year. The festive season also saw instore traffic increasing by +98.5% to an average day, highlighting the continued importance of physical retail across the Christmas shopping season.  

December also marked the launch of The Fragrance Shop’s new and improved app, which is designed to deliver a seamless and personalised shopping experience for customers. Users can use the new app to access membership benefits, perks and exclusive deals.

Sanjay Vadera, CEO of The Fragrance Shop, says: “2024 has been a true milestone year for The Fragrance Shop, not only because of our record-breaking sales, store expansions, and digital innovations but we proudly celebrated our 30th anniversary.”

“Marking three decades as the UK’s largest independent fragrance retailer has been an incredible moment for our business, our teams, and our loyal customers who have been at the heart of our journey," Vadera comments.  

In addition to the brand’s sales growth, The Fragrance Shop also set a record for the world’s largest fragrance wall, showcasing its creativity and leadership within the fragrance industry.

The Fragrance Shop is set to continue its growth as 2025 will mark the beginning of the retailer’s international expansion. The first international store is set to open in Dublin, offering expertly curated fragrance to a new audience.  

Plans for additional stores are already underway, with locations set to launch later in the year as part of The Fragrance Shop’s global retail strategy.
