Green People unveils new solid shampoo collection

Organic beauty brand Green People has added three solid shampoo bars to its existing natural haircare range.

The shampoo bars contain natural and pH-balanced ingredients, and are plastic, soap and SLS-free.

The new 50g solid shampoos are presented in plastic-free packaging which can be used to store the bar in between washes. Each 50g bar contains actives equivalent to 250ml of Green People’s highly concentrated liquid shampoo and lasts for 60 washes on average.

The shampoos are rich in high performance actives and plant oils, to nourish the hair and keep the scalp healthy and balanced, reducing the need for conditioner.

The shampoo bars are formulated with gentle plant-based surfactants offering colour retention and detangling benefits. Containing mild foaming agents including coconut-derived sodium cocoyl isethionate, the shampoo produces a rich foam.

The Scent-Free Shampoo Bar, designed for sensitive skin, is a gentle, scent-free shampoo bar formulated with babassu, pracaxi and bisabolol to deeply condition, strengthen and fight frizz.

The Citrus & Ginger Shampoo Bar is infused with a light citrus aroma and is designed to fight frizz for healthy, shining hair.

Finally, the Eucalyptus & Mint Shampoo Bar contains celery seed extract which has proven anti-itch and anti-flake properties to keep hair fresh.

Charlotte Vøhtz, founder of Green People, says: “Shampoo bars are a great way to embrace low-waste, plastic-free beauty products. Green People’s shampoo bars are the dry, concentrated version of our liquid shampoos. They contain all the key actives to wash and nourish your hair and scalp, but without the water. This translates into less CO2 emissions linked to production and transportation”.

The new solid shampoo collection is available now at greenpeople.co.uk, RRP £16 each.

I wouldn’t recommend using shampoo without conditioner so have softened this language
