Glow Up to partner with Sephora UK for upcoming fifth season

Popular make-up television show Glow Up has announced a return to screens for a fifth season. This year the show has partnered with Sephora UK, which recently opened its first brick and mortar location in the UK at Westfield Shepherd’s Bush. The first episode is set to air on Tuesday 2nd May, coming soon to Netflix internationally.

This season’s ten aspiring MUA’s will compete in various challenges, including a challenge inspired by Sephora UK’s Express All Of You campaign, which celebrates the UK’s diverse culture and identities. Each contestant was tasked with acquainting themselves with a Sephora UK customer to create a new look to encapsulate their identity and the Sephora UK brand.

Renowned industry artists Val Garland, Global Make-up Director for L’Oréal, and Dominic Skinner, Director of Make-up Artistry for MAC, will be returning to their positions as long-standing judges, with model Leomie Anderson as presenter. The trio are set to be joined by various guest judges including Arieta Mujay, Sephora’s UK Brand Director, and Patrik Ta. In previous years, Glow Up has featured leading make-up artists and industry experts including Charlotte Tilbury, Hector Espinal and Nikkie Tutorials, as well as Oscar and BAFTA award-winning David Malinowski.

Leah Caffrey, Series Producer, says: “Every series we aim for our MUA's to experience the best jobs in the industry. Working with Sephora on the Express All of You campaign, really tested their make-up skills and knowledge. They worked hard to understand what look the model wanted and the judges were really pleased with the results. The MUA's are all capable of working within the make-up industry but often struggle to get their foot in the door, so this opportunity gets them one step closer to their dream”.
