e.l.f. Cosmetics has unveiled the latest stage in its Express Your e.l.f. campaign in efforts to shine a spotlight on female creatives in the UK.
The community-led Express Your e.l.f. campaign launched earlier this year with a campaign video featuring 20 dynamic personalities including a punk poet, medical researcher and a rapper. The campaign showcases up-and-coming UK talent.
The brand launched its first ever murals on the 20th November in London, Manchester and Birmingham. Created by illustrator Laura Greenan, the murals feature Meduulla, a 24-year-old Zimbabwean-born rapper, poet and DJ, who featured in the original Express Your e.l.f. campaign video.
The groundbreaking murals feature QR codes which will take viewers to Meduulla’s e.l.f. inspired song. e.l.f. Cosmetics has also provided subtitles and audio descriptors to ensure that individuals with hearing or sight impairments can fully participate.
Meduulla says: “Being part of the campaign means so much to me because as a rapper that champions being your authentic self, I was able to express my personality through the makeup and now lyrics.”
The Express Your e.lf. murals will be displayed at London Brick Lane, Manchester Shudehill and Birmingham High Street Digbeth until the 10th December.
