Boots Battersea Power Station opens its doors

The first Boots Beauty concept store opened its doors to customers yesterday at Battersea Power Station. The launch is the culmination of the transformation of Boots’ Beauty offering following the revamp of 170 beauty halls across the UK over the last three years.

The 11,200 sq ft Battersea Power Station store showcases 250 curated beauty brands to suit all budgets across skin care, cosmetics, body care, hair care and fragrance. New brands including R.E.M. Beauty, Bubble, Dermalogica Clare Start, Kerastase and Shu Uemura Art of Hair will also be available instore and online.

The store features a supersize beauty studio which offers free specialist beauty advice, tutorials and demos, including skin scan, scalp analysis and express beauty services.

A new team of 35 Boots Beauty Specialists has joined the existing 1,000 members of the Beauty Crew and dermatologist-trained Boots pharmacists will offer free consultations and clinical advice on a variety of skin concerns, with this provision to be rolled out to other selected Boots stores in the future.

The store offers a range of services including the Dermalux LED Light Treatment services, which use light waves to accelerate natural skin regeneration and repair, Hair Bar, Fragrance Discovery Bar, beauty product recycling station and a free-of-charge gift wrap service.

Jenna Ward, Head of Beauty Reinvention at Boots, says: “By combining Boots’ 175 years of pharmacy heritage with our market-leading beauty offering, we can offer accessible and holistic skin care expertise on the high street in a way that’s never been done before. The opening of this new store marks a major milestone in Boots transformation of beauty on the high street.”

Boots Beauty at Battersea Power Station on Electric Boulevard is now open.
