Huda taps beauty advisors for lipstick launches

Huda Beauty has teamed up with two of its in-store beauty advisors to develop the brand’s latest limited edition lipsticks.

Sana and Bilkis, two beauty advisors working in prestigious department stores Harrods and Selfridges, worked closely with Huda Beauty to offer their valuable experience and advice, gleaned from years working face-to-face with beauty customers.

Together, the brand and beauty advisors delved into the shopping behaviours, wants and needs of Selfridges and Harrods customers, working closely with Huda Beauty’s product development team in their Dubai-based HQ to create two new contemporary shades.

Sana and Bilkis were so deeply involved in the curation process that Huda decided to label the shades after words related to their own names. She settled on Queen of Sheba for Bilkis, as she shares her name with the iconic Queen, and Girl On Fire for Sana, whose name means radiance in Arabic.

The new shades have been designed especially for British lipstick lovers and are infused with the Liquid Matte Lip L.O.V.E Complex, a unique blend of lycopene, olive oil, vitamins and essential fatty acids, which ensures a smooth application and a highly-pigmented colour that lasts.

Queen of Sheba is a pinky nude with a subtle blue undertone for a classic and smart ’Gala Night’ pout, available exclusively at Harrods. Meanwhile, Girl On Fire is a hot and toasted red with a pink undertone for a strong and sexy ‘all I do is win’ look, available only at Selfridges Oxford Street.

Both new limited-edition shades are packed with Liquid Matte’s iconic densely pigmented formula that offers rich, one-stroke colour in a buttery, suede-like finish that won’t smudge, flake or fade throughout the day. RRP £18 each.
