The Judges

The Judging Panel for the Beauty Awards with ASOS comprises of experts from across our industry, who all give their time and expertise to participate in the programme free of charge. After using, testing, commenting on and ranking all product entries in at least three separate categories, their private deliberations determine the shortlist in each category.

The members of this year’s expert Judging Panel will be revealed shortly. See below for details of the Judging Panel for The Beauty Awards 2020 with ASOS:

Alexandra Scolding, Head of buying, ASOS
As head of buying at ASOS, Alexandra oversees all non-clothing categories including Face + Body, footwear, accessories, swimwear, lingerie and lifestyle. She previously held buying roles in menswear at House of Fraser and Burberry.

Bea Sweet, Celebrity Make-up Artist
Bea’s stunning creative make-up looks have graced the front covers of a huge array of magazines, from Vogue to Numero, globally and in the UK, while her celebrity clients include Dua Lipa, FKA Twigs, Erykah Badu and Charli XCX.

Bernicia Boateng, Celebrity Make-up Artist
Bernicia has created looks for some of the most famous women in fashion and entertainment, including Micheala Coel, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Cindy Bruna, and on sets for Vogue, NewYorker, Netflix, BBC and more. Her namesake studio in London educates on all things beauty, incorporating work with local disadvantaged women.

Bryony Blake, Celebrity Make-up Artist
Bryony has lent her make-up skills to a host of successful shows including Britain’s Got Talent, Strictly Come Dancing, Saturday Night Take Away and The Greatest Dancer. Since 2015, she has also been one of the beauty experts on This Morning, delivering live demonstrations, masterclasses and makeovers.

Dominic Skinner, Global Senior Make-up Artist for MAC & Judge, BBC Glow Up
With over 20 years’ experience as a make-up artist, Dominic‘s varied career has seen him work in TV, film, editorial, advertisements, theatre and music, creating everything from clean beauty to full-on body painting. He has worked in all four fashion capitals for over 30 seasons. Most recently he became a judge for the BBC’s make-up artist competition, Glow Up.

Emily Hunter, Editor, Beauty Magazine
With over a decade’s experience as a beauty editor and 5 years of The Beauty Awards under her belt, Emily constantly has her eyes open for the next big thing in beauty and is excited to chair the judging panel for The Beauty Awards 2020 with ASOS.

Dr Ewoma Ukeleghe, Founder of skndoctor aesthetics clinic
Dr. Ewoma combines her extensive medical knowledge with a refreshingly contemporary take on beautification. Championed by the likes of Dazed, Vogue, i-D Magazine, the BBC and Refinery29, she has worked with skincare brands including Glossier, Bioderma, Vichy and La Roche-Posay and is known for her holistic, pioneering approach.

Holly Buckley, Director & Editor, Diary Directory
Holly is the Director of industry bible DIARY directory, used by brands, media professionals and influencers to access fashion, beauty and lifestyle contacts, news, dates and social insight.

Jayde Pierce, Model & Influencer
Jayde is one of the UK’s most well-known fashion and beauty influencers, with an audience of over 1.5M across her social platforms. Since the age of 18, Jayde has been creating unique makeup looks and showcasing her artistry online. Her fun and relatable tutorials quickly acquired Jayde a large following and her subscribers’ keen interest and demand for more kickstarted her career within the industry. Seven years on, Jayde has a highly engaged, loyal audience of young women.

James Earnshaw, Celebrity Hair Stylist
James is a session hair stylist who works around the UK and internationally. The current title holder of Midlands Hairdresser of the Year, he is head creative director for an award-winning salon group and splits his time between campaigns, education, show work and celebrities.

Joy Adenuga, Make-up Artist
Joy Adenuga is a multi award-winning make-up artist, bridal beauty expert and melanin specialist. In her 10 years in the business, Joy has tapped into brand consulting, beauty education in partnership brands such as Bobbi Brown and Clinique, and launching her own beauty line. Her credits include BBC Glow Up, Refinery29, Harper’s Bazaar, Black Beauty Magazine and The Independent.

Kadeeja Sel Khan, Beauty Influencer
Kadeeja is one of Britain’s best-known beauty influencers who shares everything behind the scenes of Photoshop and filters to detail her skin journey with cystic acne, PCOS and rosacea, believing everybody should feel confident and beautiful in the skin they’re in.

Katrina Fulluck, ASOS Face + Body
Katrina joined ASOS in 2016 as Global Senior Buyer for Face + Body after working in beauty buying teams at Harrods and Space NK. Specialising in all beauty categories, Katrina has a passion for make-up, having previously been a make-up artist.

Lisa Potter Dixon, Make-up Artist & Author
Lisa has been a professional make-up artist for over 15 years. Her work is regularly featured in magazines such as Wonderland, ELLE and Grazia. She is also the author of three best selling books and contributing editor for Sheerluxe.

Lottie Tomlinson, Make-up Artist, Influencer & Entrepreneur
With a social following of over 5 million, Lottie is the one of the biggest and most in-demand beauty and fashion influencers in Europe. She has partnered up with a variety of high street and luxury brands such as Nailsinc, L’Oréal, Dior and Givenchy while also launching her own self-tan brand, Tanologist.

Sali Hughes, Beauty Journalist & Author
Journalist, presenter and broadcaster Sali has been Beauty Editor on The Guardian since 2011, where she is known for her intelligent, straight-talking advice and honest product recommendations that are recognised across the beauty industry as having “the Delia effect” on sales. She is also the author of two best-selling beauty books and co-founded Beauty Banks, a nationwide charity providing essential toiletries to people living in poverty.

Sharmadean Reid MBE, CEO, Beautystack
Entrepreneur Sharmadean is the founder of WAH Nails and Beautystack, a new way to book beauty treatments through shared images. A former fashion stylist and brand consultant, her mission is to use technology to empower women economically, socially and culturally.

Soph, founder of YouTube channel Soph Does Life
Soph originally posted YouTube videos around her creative and intricate nail art designs, coining her famous signature ‘Soph Does Nails’. Having established an audience of over 1 million subscribers and 400,000 followers on Instagram, Soph now ‘does’ life, fashion and beauty content – hence her recent name change. Her credible, trustworthy reviews have led to successful collaborations with Revolution and Skinnydip London.

Theresa Yee, Senior Beauty Editor, WGSN
Theresa Yee is a beauty editor with 13 years’ experience in the cosmetic industry. Prior to joining WGSN she worked across consumer magazines and at the luxury beauty retailer Space NK. An experienced trend forecaster, she is responsible for WGSN’s beauty trends, two years ahead of season.

Uche Natori, Content Creator
Uche is a self-taught make up enthusiast and skincare fanatic who quickly amassed a loyal YouTube audience through her tutorials for hooded eyes, signature foundation routines and simple but glamorous make-up looks. She has featured on campaigns with Sleek and L'Oréal, and worked with a variety of brands including Clinique, NARS, Lancôme, ASOS, Nasty Gal and Dr Jart.
