Voting is now open for Create the Look 2017, a competition designed to recognise emerging beauty talent and help propel their careers.

Hosted by business insurance provider SME Insurance Services (SMEi), which arranges cover for hairdressers and salons, Create the Look is now in its second year. The contest aims to nurture and celebrate the emerging make-up artists and hair stylists of the future.

The finalist with the most votes will be crowned the UK’s top upcoming stylist and the overall winner will receive a professional hair and beauty kit packed with products and equipment. The two runners-up will each receive a luxury gift box containing a selection of products.

The results of the public vote will be combined with the opinions of three expert judges, who will also be selecting their favourite look by the finalists. The Create the Look judges are Emily Hunter, Editor of Beauty Magazine; Jodie Withers, Editor of Good Salon Guide; and Katherine Priest, makeup artist and blogger at www.Katherine-Louise.com.
