On your metal!

While 2017 was the year that all shades of silver hair took over the colourants market, Knight & Wilson, the UK’s leading independent professional home hair colour experts, is evolving the trend with the launch of some hot new shades.

The six new Colour Freedom Metallic Glory shades (which retail at £7.99 each) offer colours which create a soft, subtle and wearable end result on a light blonde, bleached or pre-lightened base. Knight & Wilson predicts Metallic Beige, Metallic Bronze and Metallic Rose tones will be the biggest trend in hair colour for 2018 and these six new shades are unique to the UK market.

Lee Bannister, Founder Knight & Wilson: “While our semi-permanent range of vibrant hair colours continues to go from strength to strength with strong sales across Europe we’re delighted to be evolving our permanent Metallic Glory collection.

“Our development team is constantly looking for inspiration, to pinpoint the next big thing in hair colour, and we believe these metallic warm shades will capture the mood of next summer with their easy to wear, flattering warm tones.”

All Colour Freedom products utilise a professional formula which leaves hair in brilliant condition, looking amazing and feel soft and nourished. Free from peroxide and harsh chemicals, Colour-Freedom is infused with Shea Butter, and Argan Oil is blended into the formulation, leaving hair radiant with a metallic blush edge.

In order to achieve a true metallic effect, Colour Freedom advises that hair must be pre-bleached or lightened to a clean, white blonde with no yellow tones.  Colour Freedom Metallic Glory has a base level of 9.0 light blonde. The tone on tone formulation means dark areas cannot be lightened, a revelation for those with Ombre and Balayage foundations who want to add this unique shade into their hair at home.

Colour-Freedom is available exclusively at Superdrug.
