Coty to create new fragrances for Tiffany & Co.

Tiffany & Co. has tasked Coty with creating and distributing a new line of Tiffany fragrances for men and women. The scents will be sold at Tiffany & Co. stores as well as at selected luxury retail outlets.

Over the past 178 years, Tiffany’s reputation for extraordinary product design and excellence has been earned by creating objects of lasting beauty.

“Tiffany is among the world’s most important houses of luxury, and fragrances are an important expression of the brand,” said chief executive officer Frédéric Cumenal. “We are pleased to work with Coty, an industry leader in the prestige fragrance category, on the development of a more meaningful fragrance portfolio through this licensing agreement.”

Bart Becht, chairman and interim chief executive officer of Coty, added. “We look forward to bringing Coty’s unique expertise to Tiffany by establishing a strong fragrance business for the brand.”

Coty already has a portfolio of well-known fragrances, including global brands as Calvin Klein, Chloé, Davidoff and Marc Jacobs. Ten fragrance lines that are currently licensed to Procter & Gamble are also expected to transfer to Coty later this year. These include Hugo Boss, Gucci, Lacoste, Escada, James Bond, Stella McCartney, and Alexander McQueen.
