Superdrug plans major services expansion

Superdrug has announced plans to open 70 more Brow & Lash bars within its stores by 2020.

The retailer’s first Brow & Lash Bar opened its doors in 2012 and there are now 330 across the country.

Superdrug’s Beauty Services have reinvigorated the high street’s beauty offering, with response to customer demand seeing new Beauty Studios opening around the country bringing together lashes, nails, bronzing, waxing and hair styling.

Further new services making their debut this spring include gel nail extensions and henna brow tinting.

To date, Superdrug’s brow experts have threaded over 15 million brows up and down the country,  and are aiming to thread over six million in 2019; more than any other year since launch.

Jerry Walkling, Superdrug sales operations director, says: “We know our customers visit for our brilliant health and beauty buys, but the addition of even more services offers them an unrivalled retail experience. The high street is changing and it’s no longer enough to just offer customers a traditional retail experience. The expansion of our Beauty Services to more stores offers customers easy, affordable ways to get the latest looks and keeps beauty lovers on our high streets, in our shopping centres and retail parks.”
