The UK’s best natural beauty retailers and suppliers were announced recently at Natural & Organic Products Europe – the UK’s biggest and busiest event for the natural and organic trade.

Held at London ExCeL, the annual awards celebrate the vital role that retailers play in bringing natural and organic beauty brands to consumers, as well as the businesses, people and innovations that are driving the natural beauty industry forward.

Waitrose retained its Best Supermarket Award for the third time in a row, and LoveLula successfully defended its title of Best Online Retailer.

Holland & Barrett and Amaranth also added more trophies to their collection – winning Best Retail Chain and Best Independent Store respectively. While Earth Mother Soul Sister collected its first Natural Beauty Retail Award for Best Branded Store, having previously been highly commended.

New for 2018, the revamped awards also incorporated the beauty categories of the prestigious Natural & Organic Products Awards, which recognises the best new beauty products launching on to the market.  Winners included Alteya Organics, BetterYou, Green People, Inika, The Konjac Sponge Company, and The YES YES Company. 

 

As in previous years, the ‘best new product’ categories in the Natural & Organic Awards Europe were voted for by visitors to Natural & Organic Products Europe on its opening day (Sunday 22 April).  Their top product picks were then judged by a panel of industry experts, including: Janey Lee Grace; Aurelia Ziomek, health and body care buyer at Planet Organic; Joanne Hill, owner of Amaranth; and Sonia White, MD of LoveLula.
