Superdrug announces Cost of Living Ambassador

Superdrug has revealed the appointment of its new Cost of Living ambassador, deals expert and TV presenter Chloe Carmichael, who will be working with the high street giant from July to September to raise awareness of summer savings.

As ambassador, Carmichael will create a mini-series of social media content to highlight the best savings, deals and promotions across everyday essentials including sun care, allergy, skincare and more, allowing shoppers to save money.

Carmichael currently runs the online community Chloe’s Deal Club, which provides a weekly newsletter highlighting some of the best beauty deals of the week, allowing members to save time and money. The community boasts over 60,000 members and has appeared on ITV’s This Morning.

Chloe Carmichael says: “I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Superdrug as their new Cost of Living ambassador. I’ve always been a huge fan of the brand and how they put accessibility at the heart of everything they do – so to be able to spread the world about their incredible summer savings to my community at such an important time is something I’m really looking forward to.”

As part of the campaign, Superdrug also announced a price reduction across its own-brand sun care range, Solait, by 20%, which will remain in place until the end of the year. This reduction applies to 41 products, ensuring shoppers have access to affordable sun protection for as little as £2.79.

The announcement comes as the beauty retailer celebrates its second successful year of its ongoing Cost of Living campaign. In 2022, Superdrug was the first health and beauty retailer to introduce price freezes across 150 essential products, later increasing to over 5,000 beauty products. The retailer also introduced additional employee benefits to support colleagues through the cost of living crisis.
