Noughty partners with Cruelty Free International

Natural haircare brand Noughty has received the Leaping Bunny certification in recognition of its commitment to the welfare of animals and its ethical practices.

The certification is awarded by charity Cruelty Free International, which campaigns for the end of animal testing.

Noughty has also announced a new initiative to support the charity’s mission; the haircare brand will donate £1 from every sale on lovenoughty.co.uk to Cruelty Free International until the end of June. These funds will be allocated towards the charity’s initiatives to raise awareness of animal cruelty.

Cruelty Free International recognises that significant progress is still required to end animal testing practices globally, despite the increasing availability of cruelty-free products and greater transparency in the beauty industry.

The charity recently campaigned against the abandonment of the UK’s 1998 ban on animal testing in cosmetics. The ban was only partially reinstated in response to the Cruelty Free International’s Judicial Review, and the charity is now urging the government to introduce a full ban.

Claire Green, Brand Director of Noughty, says: “At Noughty, we firmly believe that beauty should never come at the expense of innocent lives. By supporting Cruelty Free International, we are reinforcing our commitment to creating a world where animals are no longer subjected to painful testing for cosmetics”.
