Dyson has unveiled its Chitosan™ range, the brand’s first ever wet line range of hair styling products. The range has been developed for all hair types, even in high humidity, and to work in harmony with Dyson’s hair tools.  

Culminating from over a decade of research into hair health, the range builds on Dyson’s engineering mindset, focusing on delivering high performance products. 

The move into formulations marks a new era for Dyson, with a focus on ingredient research. Powered by chitosan, a complex macromolecule derived from oyster mushrooms, the range is engineered with Dyson Triodetic™ technology.  

Other styling products use simple polymers to lock hair strands together with stiff bonds. The Chitosan range flexibly locks in styles, without stickiness, brittleness or crunch for a flexible all-day hold, delivering soft, shiny, smoother styles with less frizz.  

The range features the Pre-Style Cream, available in four different variants. Light and rich conditioning options are available for straight to wavy and curly to coily hair types. The cream transforms into a sheer serum for a touchable, long-lasting hold with a natural feel, leaving hair feeling soft, smooth and conditioned.  

It contains conditioning agents to reduce frizz and protect natural shine. High-performing silicones and oils add to smoothness and maintain shine for up to 50% less frizz versus untreated hair.  

The collection also includes the Post-Style Serum. Formulated for all hair types, including colour and chemically treated hair, the serum holds and defines for a soft, flexible hold throughout the day. Hair feels instantly hydrated with a shiny finish and it locks in styles after heat or air drying.  

Containing hyaluronic acid, the serum acts as a weightless protective shield in up to 80% relative humidity. The lightweight serum also contains a blend of amino acids known to repair signs of surface damage.  

The cream and serum featured precision applicators to precisely deliver 0.22ml with every pump, helping to prevent product wastage. The full-size formulation packaging is refillable, with the outer packaging built to last.
