Despite the current father of the bride debacle, Royal Wedding fever is sweeping the nation, and nowhere more so than at the UK’s largest perfume retailer. 

The Perfume Shop, which recently launched its free Wedding Service – offering couples tailored perfume consultations – has marked the initiative by creating a bespoke perfume plan for Meghan and Harry. 

Gergely Markus, Master in Perfume at The Perfume Shop has created a bespoke perfume plan for Meghan and Harry.  He has taken Meghan’s current favourites – said to be Oribe Côte d’Azur Eau de Parfum and both the Wild Bluebell and Wood Sage & Sea Salt Colognes by Jo Malone – looked at her personality and given them a wedding day twist to suggest perfumes for her wedding day. 

Markus says: “Based on the notes of the perfumes Meghan wears, I’d suggest Giorgio Armani  Acqua di Gioia as a lovely wedding choice. This floral scent is designed for captivating women, just like Meghan Markle herself, and it contains notes of Jasmine and Lemon which are present in one of her favourites – Oribe Côte d’Azur.

“Other scent suggestions for Meghan to smell like a Princess on her wedding day would be Paco Rabanne Olympea or Bvlgari Aqva Divinia. Both contain notes of sea salt which are included in her favourite Wood Sage & Sea Salt Colognes by Jo Malone.”

Fragrance pairings are popular for couples to ensure not only their outfits complement each other, but their perfumes do too. With this in mind, Markus has chosen three scents for Harry to pair with those suggested for Meghan: “My first suggestion would be Paco Rabanne Invictus. Not only does this pair well with Olympea, but as Harry is the creator of The Invictus Games this links perfectly.

"Alternatively, Chanel Allure Homme Sport would suit Harry’s sporty lifestyle and is fresh with water/citrus notes which Meghan proves she’s already a fan of based on her top choices.

“Another perfume we’d suggest for Prince Harry would be Prada Luna Rossa as it’s very fresh with notes of spearmint. Meghan loves vibrant fragrances with Herbs and warm fragrances with Amber so this would be the perfect accompaniment.”
