Mavala helps CRISIS deliver a happier Christmas

Nail care brand Mavala is once again supporting the charity CRISIS to help homeless people across the UK have a happier Christmas this year.

CRISIS is the national charity for single homeless people, and is dedicated to ending homelessness by delivering life-changing services and campaigning for change.

Christmas can be an incredible difficult time of year for a person cut off from family and home, and CRISIS provides essential services, support and companionship to tackle loneliness and isolation, helping people take their first steps out of homelessness. CRISIS Christmas centres all over the UK serve as a safe haven for those looking for care at Christmas time.

Mavala is offering its support by donating nail care items to CRISIS Christmas centres to help enhance the salon service provided by the charity to those in need.

Jonathan Hodge, managing director at Mavala UK, explains: “It’s shocking to learn how many people currently sleep on the street in the UK. The work CRISIS does at Christmas time is remarkable and it’s heart-warming to hear of the difference this makes to the lives of their guests. At Mavala, we’re just happy to help in any way that we can.”

Emily Duffy, corporate donations assistant from CRISIS, says: “The salon service is one of the most popular service with our guests and it’s wonderful to see how a simple manicure can transform not only someone’s appearance, but also their spirit and confidence. If it wasn’t for the continued support of Mavala, the salon service wouldn’t be what it is today.”
