Holland & Barrett launches #CleanBeauty campaign

Holland & Barrett has unveiled its #CleanBeauty campaign, announcing it will not stock any skin care products that contain parabens, SLS or microplastics.

The retailer says the move will help to reassure customers that the beauty products it stocks are effective and kind to skin and the environment, without compromising on quality.

The hashtag #CleanBeauty will be running for six weeks to highlight Holland & Barrett's new commitment to beauty that is free from these ingredients. Leading beauty brands, including Purepotions, will use the hashtag to promote a new, cleaner, more responsible attitude to beauty and caring for skin.

Holland & Barrett says it is the first high street retailer to make this commitment. The company started to eliminate products containing these ingredients in 2009, but with the world now switching on to the importance of the ingredients inside their beauty products, feels that now is the perfect time to start shouting about its promise to customers and spreading the clean beauty message.

Holland & Barrett believes the campaign will reinstate its commitment to customers that it is the brand they can trust to provide high quality, clean beauty products alongside expert advice on the high street, and hopes it will urge consumers and retailers to think twice about their beauty products, and choose a clean beauty way of life.
