Garnier launches first vitamin C serum

Garnier has launched Vitamin C Anti-Dark Spot Serum, its first serum formulated with concentrated vitamin C.

The new skincare serum is powered by Garnier’s green sciences that pair the best of nature with dermatological actives, to deliver effective, affordable skincare with the lowest environmental impact possible.

The concentrated brightening formula contains the vitamin C derivative 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid, which was selected for being water soluble and stable. Once absorbed into the skin, it is metabolised into vitamin C (ascorbic acid).

This vitamin C derivative is combined with citrus fruit extract, anti-inflammatory niacinamide and salicylic acid in the serum, which works fast to visibly reduce dark spots and marks.

In tests, skin felt refreshed, smoother and softer in 3 days, while dark spots were reduced in visibility and density in 6 days.

Garnier Vitamin C Anti-Dark Spot Serum is available now at Superdrug, RRP £11.99.
