Clairol appoints Stacey Dooley MBE as face of Nice’n Easy

Clairol UK has appointed Stacey Dooley MBE as the face of its iconic Nice’n Easy hair colour brand.

The market-leading hair colour brand has revealed She Does, the first widespread media campaign linked to the exciting partnership between Clairol UK and the award-winning documentary filmmaker.

The campaign concept dates back to an iconic Nice’n Easy tagline, “Does she or doesn’t she?” which was invented in a society where it was better if she didn’t – didn’t colour her hair, didn’t stand out and didn’t say what she thought. Clairol are now answering this famous question with a new breakout campaign She Does – empowering women to feel confident with their decisions and embrace their individuality.

It is the first beauty ambassador role for Dooley, who was chosen by Clairol for her go-getting attitude and relatable personality. With her red hair colour so intrinsically linked to her identity, Clairol is proud to enable Dooley to celebrate her distinctive asset and reclaim her shade in a way that is true to who she is.

Dooley says: “I’m thrilled to be the face of Clairol Nice’n Easy. The brand has championed women for decades, giving them the confidence to take control of their own colour and to be true to themselves – always. Using home hair colour was much less hassle than I’d anticipated with Nice’n Easy! You always assume you’d never be able to do your own hair and be delighted with the outcome, but circumstance forced me to tackle my own roots… turns out I was genuinely thrilled with result!”

Javier Sandoval, Head of Marketing at Clairol UK&I, adds: ““Nice’n Easy’s purpose is all about liberating women to live their truth, so there’s a great fit in Stacey being a champion of truth. Her approachable personality is also a perfect match, and it’s been a pleasure to partner with her throughout her first at-home colour experience.”

The She Does campaign for Clairol Nice’n Easy featuring Stacey Dooley will debut on 8  September 2020.
