Cetraben awarded British Skin Foundation recognition

Eczema and dry skin brand, Cetraben, has been awarded a product validation certificate by the British Skin Foundation (BSF).

As the only charity dedicated to skin research, the BSF reviewed the extensive research that Cetraben has undertaken on dry and eczema-prone skin while developing its range of skincare products, and, as a result has given them the stamp of approval meaning the ingredients used are not a risk to the user’s skin health.

The review process extensively looked into Cetraben’s technical and clinical data to thoroughly cover every aspect of the science behind the product range. The professional panel was made up of independent consultant dermatologists, of which one was an expert in eczema.

Amy Brennan, Cetraben brand manager commented: “After many years of product development and research, we are thrilled to be awarded the validation by the British Skin Foundation on our Cetraben products. Being one of the few eczema products to have been awarded this validation is such an honour and the recognition further cements our commitment to developing innovative products that are widely available and provide relief to the millions of eczema and dry skin sufferers in the UK.”

As well as validating the research that has gone into the product range, the BSF is supporting Cetraben's patient support materials which offer advice on managing the debilitating condition.

The new online patient support programme called ‘Start from Scratch’ helps support people living with dry skin conditions, such as eczema. The programme aims to improve patient education and adherence to emollient therapy through a series of weekly emails, each with tips and advice from a panel of leading health experts.

People with dry skin conditions can sign up for the programme at www.start-from-scratch.co.uk.
