Badgley Mischka moves into fragrance

Celebrated American design house Badgley Mischka is introducing its debut scent in tandem with the brand’s 30th anniversary.

Developed in collaboration with TPR Holdings LLC, Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum will launch on the brand’s website in October 2018 with an exclusive premiere at Dillard’s stores in th US in December.

Much like Badgley Mischka’s design philosophy, the new fragrance is described as a reflection of Mark Badgley and James Mischka’s appreciation for the glamorous Hollywood of the Forties coupled with modern luxury and sophistication.

“Everything we do has a thread of glamour to it. When designing, we strive to make women look and feel beautiful. Perfume is a more intimate, yet subtle, way of achieving that,” said Mark Badgley. “A fragrance can create a mood, inspire confidence and, in an instant, transform the way a woman looks and feels. We want her to feel like she’s the only woman in the room,” James Mischka continued.

The fragrance itself, created by acclaimed perfumer Richard Herpin, is a lush and dewy floral with magnolia, amber and musk notes. It is presented in a sleek, multifaceted glass design resembling an amethyst jewel. The luminous glass is bordered in rich gold, topped with an architecturally modern cap and embellished with the Badgley Mischka insignia.

The line up comprises a range of eaux de parfum together with bath and body auxillaries. Prices starting at $28 for a purse spray.
