Over 38,000 people have joined the waiting list to discover the new Oral-B Genius X power toothbrush, which used artificial intelligence (AI) technology to help users perfect their brushing style.

Research from Oral-B revealed that 80% of people miss an area of their mouth when brushing their teeth, which if not improved could lead to serious future dental issues.

Oral-B’s smartest toothbrush to date uses AI technology to track exactly where users are brushing – and which areas they miss – to generate personalised feedback via the Oral-B app.

By linking the Genius X handle to the app via Bluetooth, users can identify missed areas and help to change their brushing habits for the better.

The app scores users out of 100%, taking account of how long they brush for, pressure applied and how effective their overall brushing coverage is. Over time, users can work to improve this score to achieve the best possible oral care results on a daily basis.

Oral-B Genius X with Artificial Intelligence launches this month in two colours ­– sleek black and metallic rose gold ­– with an RRP of £340.
