Avon has launched its first skincare range specially developed for perimenopausal and menopausal skin. 

Adapt is a new skincare system designed to support women through the hormonal effects of perimenopause and menopause on skin.

The three-strong range harnesses ingredients that support the skin’s ability to deal with stress. Plant extracts known as adaptogens help bring balance to the skin by adapting their function to the skin’s specific needs.

The result of two decades of research into the impact of changing hormones on the skin, the Adapt range helps women to manage fluctuations in their skin due to hormonal changes and menopausal symptoms, such as hot flushes, night sweats and changes to skin condition including collagen loss, dryness and tingling.

Adapt Hydra Rescue Mist helps to alleviate hot flushes thanks to Tillicora, a unique plant native to South Africa that helps to increase hydration and firmness and cool the skin.

Adapt Hydra Rescue Serum helps to boost moisture in dry skin caused by the reduction in oestrogen during perimenopause and menopause, while turmeric helps to calm and soothe.

Finally, Adapt Dream Cream helps to tighten and plump sagging skin to fight the collagen loss common in perimenopause and menopause, while the natural scent of jasmine and lavender can help aid sleep.
