The UK’s Beauty Advisors of the Year 2015

Beauty advisors from all over the UK entered Beauty Magazine’s Beauty Advisor of the Year Awards. But there could only be one winner in each category.

The winners of the 2015 Beauty Advisor of the Year Awards were judged on their excellence – their customer service, product knowledge, sales performance and their massive enthusiasm for what they do. It’s their skills and knowledge that helps customers find exactly what they need in store and makes sure they get the best possible results from the products they buy.

Awards organiser Beauty Magazine was amazed at the number of nominations and entries and their calibre this year, and choosing the winners was no easy task. But after much deliberation and a final round of interviews, four outstanding winners were chosen:

FRAGRANCE ADVISOR OF THE YEAR, sponsored by 007 Fragrances
Sarah Wright, LloydsPharmacy, Beaconsfield

Sarah combines extensive brand marketing experience with a love of working with customers and a passion for advising on fragrance choices. She stood out for her experience with window displays and aspects of her role including liaison with brand representatives. Sarah works in one of LloydsPharmacy’s flagship stores, and strives to encourage customer loyalty.

ELECTRICAL ADVISOR OF THE YEAR, sponsored by Philips
Liz Young, Boots, Ayr, Scotland

Liz is a great ambassador for electrical beauty. She has an instant rapport with customers and goes to extra lengths to ensure that customers get what they want. She has been an electrical beauty consultant for seven years, and loves it. The judges were impressed by her obvious enthusiasm for her job. “I enjoy getting to know the products and love explaining them to customers,” says Liz.

COSMETICS ADVISOR OF THE YEAR, sponsored by Max Factor
Dawn Fetta, Marks & Spencer, Cheshunt

Dawn is a true inspiration to her colleagues and customers, says her manager. She engages and motivates her team, shares ideas with other M&S stores, and her strong relationship with regular customers has helped promote beauty and cosmetics sales in her store. Dawn says she feels privileged to be doing what she does, and the Beauty Awards judges were delighted to recognise her obvious skills.

SKINCARE ADVISOR OF THE YEAR
Alicia Lewis-Keogh, Marks & Spencer, Aintree

Alicia has been a skincare advisor for three years, during which time she has grown and developed a wide knowledge of skincare and the brands that are available. She uses social media, email and in-store events to keep customers interested and informed. The Beauty Awards judges were impressed by Alicia’s great awareness of beauty trends, and by the fact that she obviously cares a great deal about her department.

The winners were presented with their awards by Jenni Falconer at the glittering Beauty Awards event in Covent Garden, London, on November 12th.
