Garnier and Boots win big at Product of the Year

Convenient and multi-benefit products topped the beauty and personal care categories at this year’s Product of the Year awards.

Topping the Moisturiser category, Garnier’s 3 in 1 Botanical Balm is a multi-function product, made with 96% natural origin ingredients and combining the benefits of day cream, night cream and a mask.

The specially formulated and easy to apply Boots Ingredients Sheet Face Mask, won the Beauty Mask category as a fuss-free alternative to clay and cream masks.

The winners also showed demand for convenient and top quality on the go items, with Gillette winning with innovative shaving products for both men and women. The Gillette Venus Snap Cosmo, a stylist compact razor with 5-blade Embrace razor technology, allows consumers to easily take and use on the go. The Gillette Mach 3 Start provides ultimate comfort with a Lubrastrip and Duracomfort blades, while the newly developed Aqua-Grip handle provides total control with every shave.

Mike Nolan, CEO of Product of the Year, commented: “Product of the Year champions products that are truly innovative, with consumers opting to choose those that they engage with, trust and that tie in with popular cultural trends.

"Beauty is an ever-changing market with using the latest technologies available and as such we want to recognise the industry leaders for their hard work."

With more than 10,637 shoppers choosing the winners across 50 FMCG categories, Product of the Year is the world’s largest annual consumer-voted award for product innovation.
