L’Occitane upsizes to new UK flagship

Natural beauty, skincare and fragrance brand L’Occitane en Provence is to expand its Regent Street presence, relocating to a new, larger store.

20 years after opening its first boutique on Regent Street, the move to a 6,450 sq ft space at 74-76 Regent Street will create an iconic new UK flagship for the brand.

Set to open by the end of 2017, the new space will offer customers a luxurious and sensorial experience, exploring L’Occitane’s full range of natural beauty products inspired by the south of France art de vivre and Provencal beauty secrets.

Jamie Taylor, Retail, Wholesale and Property Director at L’Occitane UK, says: “This new store will set our customers at the heart of an unforgettable retail experience, which brings our beautiful brand vividly to life. We aim to bring a unique concept design to this first class location, creating a truly multi-sensorial experience for our local customers in the UK and also our international customers, whilst being true to our deep Provencal roots.”

The store letting forms part of The Crown Estate’s £1bn regeneration of Regent Street. Over 15  lettings have completed in the last 18 months, with an array of new international lifestyle and fashion brands, such as Space NK, Tory Burch, Lululemon, Coach and Kate Spade joining the Street, as well as a number of existing stores upsizing.

Katerina Mercury, Asset Manager for Regent Street at The Crown Estate, says: "We are delighted to be working with L'Occitane to find the perfect space for their UK flagship. This will be a beautiful new store, designed especially for Regent Street, offering our customers a unique experience of the brand."
