The International Institute for Anti-ageing (iiaa), the UK and Ireland distibutor of Advanced Nutrition Programme, Environ Skin Care and Jane Iredale mineral cosmetics, has opened a new Research Centre for Skin Health as part of the strategic expansion of its North London corporate headquarters.
The new state-of-the-art research facility is equipped with the gold standard in skin analysis equipment, used in R&D departments of cosmetic and pharmaceutical organisations, independent testing laboratories and fundamental dermatological research centres worldwide, which measures skin hydration, elasticity and trans-epidermal water loss, as well as other indispensable parameters for the evaluation of various functions of the skin.
David Alpert, managing director of Advanced Nutrition Programme, says: “Our business brand is based on values of efficacy and integrity, and these new facilities will support our future expansion into new ingredient research to strengthen skin health outcomes.â€
Lorraine Perretta, Consultant Nutritionist to the iiaa, adds: “We are very excited by the possibilities of the new iiaa Research Centre for Skin Health. We have already started pre-clinical studies to investigate various targeted nutrient combinations on skin concerns. This investment into world-leading technology will help us to significantly accelerate our new product development and open new areas of nutritional innovation to benefit skin health.â€
The new Research Centre for Skin Health sits alongside new offices, additional training facilities, enlarged warehousing and a temperature-controlled fulfillment facility, ensuring best practice and clinical standard fulfillment of the Advanced Nutrition Programme skin health and wellbeing supplements.
