Help kick start a make-up revolution

Forward thinking Scottish make-up artist Lynne Mills is inviting women everywhere to be part of her make-up revolution by helping to fund a range of innovative ideas in return for discounts on a range of products and services.

Lynne, who co-founded the Miss Flicklash by Eylure range, has now launched a range of make-up brushes called Girl Meets Brush. The range offers high quality and essential brushes, serving everyone from the “everyday woman” to the professional make-up artist. To support the range and help educate women about what each brush does and when it can be used, a “Pro Expert Team” of specialists will provide lessons across the UK as well as creating a collective of make-up artists. From early Spring, tutorials will also be available online.

To help develop these tutorials, build the Pro Expert Team and introduce new products such as additional brushes, make-up bags and colour cosmetic make-up palettes, a Kickstarter campaign is running here.

Pledge amounts start at just £2, for which backers will be sent a Girl Meets Brush Foundation Brush – Reveal magazine’s “Beauty Pick” for February. Each pledge offers a discount of up to 40 per cent on the retail price of the items backers will receive.

“The Kickstarter Campaign will allow us to develop the brand by adding more products to the range,” says Lynne, who got the idea for Girl Meets Brush because so many clients were telling her they didn’t really know what to do with their make-up brushes or what ones to choose.

“I decided to create a set of essential brushes that took the main elements of what the everyday woman would want, to what a professional would use – with the option to also include a lesson with one of our Pro Experts, something that quickly developed in to being made available online,” explains Lynne.

“What makes this concept even more unique is that our Pro Expert Team is a great opportunity for make-up artists to come together as a collective, share work, recommend and support one another. We are selecting only the best make-up artists from around the UK to be involved – those who demonstrate great talent, expert knowledge, professionalism as well as a great brand themselves as a make-up artist.”
