Well, as a brunette, I’m not sure whether I’m touched or troubled by recent research which suggests I’m good marrying material but not necessarily of much interest as a girlfriend.
According to a survey by hairdresser Andrew Collinge, more than half of men had been on most dates with blondes and blonde celebrities ranked highest in a ’sexiness’ poll. However, 52 per cent of men said dark-haired women were the best to marry because they were ‘dependable’, ’sensible’, ‘reliable’ and ‘loving’.
Well, it seems the old clichés still live on then! Quite what on earth someone’s hair colour has to do with how reliable they are is beyond me… But then maybe i’m just bitter because I’m (apparently) dependable and sensible rather than sexy…!
