King of Shaves in Olympic Dash

We’ve already had a spate of female British athletes being snapped up by beauty brands but Olympic hopeful James Ellington is the first of the Brit boys we’ve heard of. The deal came around in a novel way with Ellington appealing for a sponsorship deal via eBay – an offer British shaving brand, King of Shaves though was too good to miss!

King of Shaves founder and CEO Will King saw the opportunity and tweeted James directly (oh the joys of social media!) and a deal was struck. Ellington said: “I couldn’t be happier that the deal has been sorted – and with a brand I really like, I already use their products! Now I can focus on winning a medal for Great Britain in the 2012 Olympics.”

Will King, Founder and CEO of King of Shaves commeneted: “We backed Kristan Bromley and Shelley Rudman in the 2006 Winter Olympics at Torino in Bob Skeleton when they were in dire need of funding; Shelley famously slid to a superb Silver. So when I heard James was struggling to raise funds and go for Gold, I was delighted to get King of Shaves involved as part of our forthcoming Wingman Project – supporting people and businesses with winning potential. We have more announcements coming.”
