Angelina Jolie fronts new Guerlain fragrance

Guerlain has unveiled the advertising campaign for its new fragrance Mon Guerlain starring its new muse; actress, filmmaker and special envoy of the UN Refugee Agency, Angelina Jolie.

The Notes of a Woman advertising film re-imagines the story of the fragrance’s creation. Set in Provence, we see a perfumer in the grip of the creative impulse, creating a fragrance in the image of the woman he admires. Jolie represents the emotions, attributes, goals, choices and dreams that embody modern femininity, providing the inspiration for the 'demanding, sumptuous' fragrance.

The partnership to create the new fragrance began in Cambodia in 2015, where Guerlain met Jolie as she was directing her fourth feature film, First They Killed my Father. Jolie’s relationship with the brand began far earlier, originating with her childhood memory of her mother’s love for a Guerlain powder. Jolie donated her entire salary for the Guerlain campaign to charity.

Mon Guerlain combines notes of Tahitensis Vanilla, Carla lavender, sambac jasmine and sandalwood, and was created by fifth generation Guerlain perfumer Thierry Wasser.
